triúr, m. (gs. & npl. -úir, gpl. ~). 1. (Of persons) Three. ~ fear, ban, múinteoirí, three men, women, teachers. Bhí siad ~ ann, there were three of them. Chuamar ár d~ ann, the three of us went there. Tháinig siad ina dtriúir, they came in threes. Tá sáith triúir ann, it is enough for three people. 2. (Of things, without dependent noun) Cá mhéad ceann ann? ~. How many (things) are there? Three.
